Sweet and Salty Nut Crunch

Is it candy? Is it a snack? In my opinion, anything with a cooked syrup falls under the candy umbrella. I won’t tell anyone you’re eating candy if you want to eat these sweet and salty nut crunch bites all day long though. 😉

🍬🍬Ingredients:🍬🍬

•Almonds: 460 grams

•Cashews: 180 grams

•Pecan Pieces: 170 grams

•Brown rice syrup: 315 grams

•Coconut sugar: 170 grams

•Salt: 15 grams

🍬🍬Instructions:🍬🍬

1.Turn on oven to 350F.Combine almonds, cashews, and pecans on a baking tray. Do not put in oven until syrup starts cooking.

2.Combine brown rice syrup, coconut sugar, and sea salt in pot. Once you start cooking the syrup, put nuts in the oven.

3.Cook syrup until 275F, turn off heat, and take nuts out of the oven. Nuts should be in oven for approximately 10 minutes. They must be warm before combining with syrup.

4.Pour nuts into cooked syrup. Mix until throughly combined.

5.Pour syrup and nuts out on greased baking sheet. Pat down into one even layer.

6. When warm to the touch, score into 1” squares. Or cut into larger bars, if you’re into that KIND of thing 😉.When cooled, break into squares.
