šŸŽŖšŸŽ”šŸŒøMini cotton candy šŸŒøšŸŽ”šŸŽŖ

Cotton candy always reminds me of Apple Blossom, a festival in my hometown. I remember seeing the sweet, puffy, colorful clouds floating along the parade route. ⁣

⁣

I’m not sure what was more fun about making cotton candy at home- handing the mini cotton candy to my son or seeing my husband face when he walked into our kitchen and I was flinging sugar everywhere šŸ˜‚.⁣

⁣

This method won’t produce š˜²š˜¶š˜Ŗš˜µš˜¦ the airy clouds you’d find at the fair, but you won’t have to invest thousands on specialized equipment to make it either šŸ˜‰.⁣

⁣

šŸ’•Do you have a favorite childhood memory around candy? What is it?šŸ’•ā£

1. Snip the ends of a wire whisk with a wire cutter.⁣

2. Line workspace with parchment paper.⁣

3. Combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt in pot. Start cooking over medium high heat. ⁣

4. Cook until candy reaches 320F. Turn off heat. Add flavor and color. ⁣

5. Dip decapitated whisk into candy and hold it over the pot to let the candy drip back into it for a second. Holding the whisk a foot about parchment, swing the whisk back and forth so thin strands fall on the paper. Repeat until you have enough for rolling.⁣

6. Immediately wrap cotton candy around large sticks (lollipop sticks or straws work great!)⁣

7. Eat immediately. ⁣
