🍫Dark Chocolate Pecan Toffee


South Carolina butter. Georgia pecans. North Carolina chocolate. Organic sugar and salt. Caramelized to a dreamy state where it’s going to have the crispiest bite and melt into your tongue. Served on the most gorgeous custom cutting board, handcrafted in South Carolina. All purchased in the friendliest grocery store, where you can sit and have a delicious meal after you shop.


Buy your ingredients. Sit and have lunch. Go home and make the most epic toffee you will ever taste. Attempt to give it as a gift on a beautiful board. You won’t, because it’s too delicious. Try again tomorrow 😉


Ingredients:

Butter: 330 grams | 3 sticks

Water: 60 grams | 0.25 cup

Sugar: 400 grams | 2 cups

Salt: 2 grams | 1/2 tsp

Chopped Pecans: 118 grams | 1 cup

Diced Pecans: 180 grams | 1.5 cup

Chocolate: 150 grams | 2.5 bars


Instructions:

1.Combine butter, sugar, salt, and water

2.Cook on a medium heat setting while stirring until 275F.

3.Add pecans, stir.

4.Cook until 310F, stirring VERY SLOWLY. You can also stop stirring from 275-310F.

5.Pour on greased pan. Spread gently.

6.Top with broken chocolate pieces. Allow chocolate to sit and melt for 3-4 minutes.

7.Spread chocolate into an even layer.

8.Top with chopped pecans.

9.Cool, break into pieces.


Store in airtight container.
